This is an excellent book by one of America's premiere porcelain artists. Jayne Houston was one of our elite artists for many years before her passing. This book is filled with dozens of color studies, each with detailed instructions to help you learn to paint beautiful authentic Dresden designs. Jayne presents a history of Dresden flowers, basic brush strokes and covers color mechanics. She also emphasizes the use of the proper materials and teaches the specialized brush strokes necessary for Dresden painting. Other critical techniques such as pouncing, dusting, grounding, sponging and gold painting are all covered. Filled with Dresden studies, it's 80 pages in a spiral notebook.
